Did anybody watch this?
I found the programme fascinating but could somebody please tell Simon Schama to keep his head still while he is talking to camera, he was making me sea sick.

I did not see it red, though I think it was partly about their unsustainability in parts of their country, such as lack of water in the SW.

I could not get over the massive expansion of places like Henderson near Las Vegas and Vegas itself in the middle of a desert.

The waste that goes on there in terms of power alone is unbelievable.

Leave Schama alone.

He was the original Thunderbirds puppet and should be treated with due reverance.

I saw it, it was brilliant. I knew the outline but not the detail of how Jackson turned Oklahoma and Kansas into a dustbowl by sheer stupidity before I watched it and the detrimental impact the Hoover Dam made.

I thought the old Okkie telling the tale of his early life as a refugee in California was especially moving.

I only caught the end of the first episode. I'm a fan of Simon Schama, his words and voice easy on the ear. I've never noticed his head movements before, but I'm sure I will next time. Thanks
