Default The Dambusters

I've just been reading about plans to do a remake of the classic film "The Dambusters"
The remake is to be scripted by Stephen Fry and filming is due to start next year.
This film is such a classic, should a remake be attempted?
I'm sure the special effects could be improved but would the film retain much of the atmosphere of the original without the BBC English and Black and White filming of the original?
Will Guy Gibson's pet dog have to be renamed to satisfy changed values etc?
what do you think?
would you like to see a remake or should we leave a classic film alone?
