Did anybody watch Paul Merton's tribute to Morecambe and Wise and their
christmas specials the other night?
I remember the time when everything stopped for the christmas special.
Greig's piano concerto is ,of course, a classic
but one of my favourites has to be Smoke gets in your eyes with Shirley Bassey.
Do you have a favourite?

back in the day, the Morecambe and Wise Christmas Special would attract the biggest viewing figures on television and i would always watch it-too many favourites to just pick one
nowadays, sadly, we are inundated with thousands of channels all year round and there appears to be no effort put in at Christmas-just the same rubbish we watch all year, only more of the same
