Default Kinder Eggs to be banned

Charlie Brooker: Children today are mollycoddled prisoners | Comment is free | The Guardian

I found this a rather funny article

ohhh thanks for posting this, best laugh iv'e had all day and it's all so true, my kids age 3 and 4 love kinder eggs and guess what they eat the chocolate usually with son saying is there a car in it, well son it's a surprise, you'll have to wait and see, and when he gets his gift, guess what he plays with it, how stupid do they think kids are

Exactly - what child doesn't know there is a toy inside a kinder egg? The chocolate isn't the treat it's the chore to get to the toy!!

Deep fried spud gun! Priceless.

Now if they wanted to ban Kinder eggs because they taste like %$£! there'd be some sense in it. (Remember I don't like chocolate!).

Glad to see the nanny brigade are starting to stuff up German industry. God knows they've gummed up ours for the last 10 years, about time they hamstrung somebody else.

I have always thought that a Kinder Eggs aren't all that safe for very young kids. The plastic bits could be easily swallowed if the kids weren't careful. Having said that, these things have been around for a number of years and I haven't either seen or heard of any accidents with them so I suppose the worst scene scenario doesn't happen very often.

Just out of interest - has anyone else noticed the Guardian link keeps changing the pages when you are trying to read them? I went from Kinder Eggs to another page dealing with something completely different all in a matter of seconds.
